FIELD: ferromagnetic material classifying. SUBSTANCE: device includes magnetization unit and electromagnet connected in series. Tested specimen is placed inside electromagnet. Electric signals from outputs of indication converter and Hall pickup proportional to intensity of magnetic field and rate of change of induction in specimen are fed through integrator to input of recording unit that fixes static characteristic of ferromagnetic material. Input of magnetization unit is connected to output of control unit which incorporates pulse generator sending pulses of constant frequency to counting input of pulse counter. Digital code across output of counter corresponds to address of cell of permanent storage. Codes corresponding to required form of magnetization current, coming to inputs of digital-to-analog converter for control over magnetization unit and codes forming control signals supplied to inputs of integrator, logic OR gate, key, retrieval and storage unit and first and second amplifiers are entered into cells in advance. As result message on form of magnetization curve is displayed on indication panel. EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities of device. 6 dwg
