FIELD: crossing equipment; ferries in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed tank ferry has two displacement pontoon units; each unit consists of articulated two outer and two middle pontoons fitted with joints at their transoms, motorized facility and ramps mounted at ends of ferry. Motor unit has two hinged pontoons; elongated pontoon sections are connected to outer sides of hinges pontoons; outer transoms of these sections are provided with sled-shaped lines. Outer transom of each outer pontoon of both elongated pontoon sections is provided with hinged rigid bulwark which is extension of sled-shaped lines; detachable bulwarks are mounted between ramps; they are made from water-tight cloth. EFFECT: increase of cargo hoisting capacity of ferry by 1.5 times; enhanced stability; reduction of time for trip by 10 to 15%. 5 dwg
