VACUUM DEGASSER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: degassers; degassing of drilling mud in boring oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: degasser has cylindrical housing with cover and drain pipe in its lower portion. Mounted in housing is stack of coaxial conical plates with cone upwards. Central loading pipe is located in axis of stack. Outlet hole of pipe is engageable with deflector unit made in form of blind reservoir having outlet ring in lower portion which is fitted at spaced relation to outlet end of loading pipe. Plate stack is located around pipe forming circular openings reducing from top to bottom. Plates are secured to housing by means of perforated vertical pipes for discharge of gas. EFFECT: smooth distribution of liquid over plates; enhanced separation process. 3 dwg
