FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: cotton harvesting unit has working chambers, pressure tracts mounted in working chambers and equipped with rocking nozzles and conveyance tracts equipped with longitudinal partition walls. Working chambers, pressure and conveyance tracts and partition walls are grouped into individual units arranged at different heights one with respect to the other. Partition walls are made in the form of wings. Axes of rocking nozzles in any extreme and intermediate position are positioned at intersection point at an angle less than 40 deg to tangent of partition wall surface. EFFECT: increased efficiency in harvesting of mature cotton without damaging of immature cotton balls and provision for staged cotton harvesting as it matures. 3 cl, 5 dwg
