FIELD: protection of metalclad switchgear from arcing short circuits. SUBSTANCE: signal level proportional to light flux generated by short-circuit electric arc is monitored by photoelectric transducers. Information about condition of photoelectric transducers is transmitted on request of central control device over communication line. Coding transmitted information enables execution of high-sensitivity reliable centralized protection of metalclad switchgear and filtering off electromagnetic noise of all kinds.
