FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: anhydrous cadmium acetate is dissolved in dry acetic acid. Resulting solution is heated and hydrogen chloride gas is passed through it to reduce pH below 1. Hydrogen chloride excess is removed by heating solution with precipitate to attain pH 3.
