FIELD: automatic control and analog computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: bidirectional limiter that may be used for building functional units of analog computers, automatic monitoring and control facilities, analog processors, and the like has two relators 11,12 each incorporating comparator 2 whose noninverting and inverting inputs are connected to first and second inputs of relator, respectively; first input of first relator 11 is connected to data inputs of bidirectional limiter; newly introduced in each relator are EQUIVALENCE gate 3, making and breaking switches 41,42 whose outputs and control input are connected to relator input and to gate 3, respectively, first and second inputs of the latter being connected, respectively, to switch output and to relator control input; first and second inputs of relator are connected to inputs of making and breaking switches, respectively; outputs of first and second relators 11,12 are connected, respectively, to first input of second relator 12 and to output of bidirectional limiter. Device provides for reproducing functions of bidirectional limiting levels of analog signal x by reference voltages x1 and x2 both at x1<x2 and x1>x2. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 3 dwg
