FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at concealed transformation of nonprotected stock vehicles, for instance, passenger cars and/or trucks into armored vehicles for transportation of precious loads and currency. According to proposed method, roof and doors of stock vehicle body are removed, protection module is made from material protecting from bullets and splinters and this module is mounted in body. When making protection module, separate members of module are subjected before assembling to thermal treatment, then module members are assembled into all-welded structure, pre-made cover plates subjected to thermal treatment are placed on welds and cover plates are connected with module by tack welding. When mounting protection module in body, front bottom panel of module is mounted on load-bearing frame of vehicle. Then all welded structure of module is fitted on body and doors of protection module and roof of stock vehicle body are mounted in place. EFFECT: facilitated transformation of stock vehicle into armored vehicle, reduced labor input and time taken for transformation, improved protection of personal from bullet and splinter injuries. 20 cl, 7 dwg
