FIELD: hydraulic machines. SUBSTANCE: suction pipe of proposed Francis hydraulic turbine has inlet and outlet diffuser sections connected by curvilinear elbow. Pipe has profiled blades installed along setting on convex and concave walls of curvilinear elbow with tilting in direction of flow, and bypass pipelines communicating interblade channels of concave wall of curvilinear elbow with interblade channels of convex wall. EFFECT: reduced level of cavitation and noise owing to reduction of intensity of flow fluctuations in suction pipe. 1 dwg
