FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding oil well product on the first- and second-step separators, draining water from preliminary water-drainage tank, dehydration and desalting, and discharging intermediate layer from preliminary water- drainage tank followed by heating it in heat exchanger and separating it into oil, water, and slime on phase-separation unit, said intermediate layer, prior to heated in heat exchanger, being mixed with oil-containing slime and resulting mixture being then heated to 90-135 C. Phase-separation unit is represented by fluidization installation, into which hot mixture is introduced tangentially at pressure 1.6-2 atm. EFFECT: improved quality of treated water and slime, and reduced power consumption. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
