FIELD: radio engineering, certification of reference measurement aids. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in increased accuracy of formation of amplitude-modulated signals thanks to diminished effect of instability of amplitude and frequency of modulating oscillation on value of amplitude modulation factor. Process includes formation of reference AM signals by harmonic action on element of meter with modulation frequency Fm to form AM oscillations which determines oscillation amplitude of carrier frequency fH with subsequent measurement of maximal and minimal values of AM signal and computation of modulation factor by them. Trains of rectangular pulses of double frequency fH are formed from harmonic oscillations of carrier frequency 2fH which control commutator switching over resistors of scale converter which relation determines value of its gain factor at moments of transit by oscillations of carrier frequency fH of zero values and changes by harmonic law of modulation. EFFECT: increased accuracy of formation of amplitude-modulated signals. 2 dwg
