FIELD: jewelry industry. SUBSTANCE: jewelry insert used in the process of faceting precious stones, preferably diamonds, has crown with platform, rundist and pavilion with two stages defined by faces and wedges arranged at an angle to rundist surface. First stage faces are inclined at an angle of 50-55 deg to rundist surface and second stage faces are inclined at an angle of 47-51 deg to rundist surface. Second stage is further provided with five angular faces having inclination angle of 39-42 deg to rundist surface. Height of angular faces and first stage faces is 50-60% the height of pavilion, and height of second stage faces is 50-60% the height of angular faces. Such construction allows volume of pavilion to be increased and, as a result, substantial part of weight of initial crystal to be kept. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased effect of visual perception of precious stone. 4 dwg
