FACILITY TO TRAP BIOPHYSICAL AEROSOLS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2191995 C2

FIELD: equipment designed to catch biophysical aerosols from atmosphere for subsequent analysis, environmental control. SUBSTANCE: facility includes body, cover with complex of inlet pipe unions, filtering bulk material, inlet and discharge air pipe unions. Inlet pipe unions are positioned tangentially. Meter-spray gun with ball valve is installed in center of complex of inlet pipe unions. Supporting protrusions are made inside body and separable cassette for filtering bulk material cooled in advance to low temperature is mounted on them. Discharge air pipe union is fitted with lug produced from fine-mesh gauze, conical reflector for condensed liquid sample and analytical solution adjustable by height is placed inside body. Internal surface of conical reflector is ball-shaped. In center of body bottom, by outer side of discharge pipe union there is made recess to take in liquid sample. Body is heat insulated. Separable cassette contains filtering bulk material which height is constant or it can have stepped ring chambers to take in filtering bulk material with layers of filtering material located at different heights, chambers should have different filtration areas. EFFECT: raised efficiency of trapping of aerosol particles, preservation of biological objects in sample. 6 dwg
