FIELD: combined communication and entertainment facilities. SUBSTANCE: cellular telephone has built-in digital module performing entertainment functions, as well as transceiver unit and headset connected to transceiver unit by means of wire or wireless communication channel. Entertainment- function module incorporates changeable read-only memory and/or extended random-access memory to store music or any other audio signals to be reproduced through telephone headset. Music or any other audio signals presented in digital form are stored in read-only memory and loaded in extended random-access memory from compact-disk player, computer, or other source of digital audio signals. Audio signal stored in digital form is reproduced through telephone headset under control of telephone microprocessor unit. Entertainment-function module may be disposed in transceiver unit, in removable battery power supply, or in separate adapter.
