FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for discovery of hydrocarbon feed in rocks of basement of tuffaceous structures in petroliferous regions. According to the invention petroliferous regions with basement presenting tuffaceous structure are chosen as promising area to search for hydrocarbon deposit. Magnetic and gravitation fields are measured. Availability of acidic blister cones in rocks of basement is detected by coincidence of negative anomalies of magnetic and gravitational fields. Points to sink test wells in central zones of blister cones are selected. Technical result of invention lies in diminished expenditures by way of reduction of scope for drilling and setting new sections of basement promising hydrocarbon feed in zones of tectonic- magma activation (tuffaceous and reef structures). EFFECT: diminished expenditures for search for hydrocarbon deposits.
