FIELD: prevention of access of strangers to a room with the aid of an electromechanical code lock. SUBSTANCE: the lock has a closing cross-bar installed in the casing and linked with a mechanism for its movement and a means for its interlocking. The mechanism for movement of the closing cross-bar has a rotary sleeve with a spring-loaded cam. The interlocking means has an electromagnet with a spring-loaded armature. The cam is engageable with the spring-loaded armature and the cross-bar stop. The closing cross-bar is unlocked by displacement of the armature with the aid of the mechanism for movement of the locking cross-bar to the position in which the cross-bar is unlocked. In this position the armature is held due to supply of voltage to the electromagnet during a time period required for displacement of the cross-bar to the extreme position in which the lock is open. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the lock against an unauthorized access to the room. 8 dwg
