FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: ridge hilling-compacting machine has carrier frame with hitch, carrier wheels adjustable in vertical plane, A-hoes rigidly fixed on tines, which are arranged in row and may be adjusted in vertical plane. Ridge hilling-compacting apparatus positioned between A-hoe tines is made in the form of metal box having equilateral trapezium-shaped longitudinal section. Box has detachable top and open bottom and is narrowing along the entire length thereof. Side faces of apparatus are rigidly attached from the bottom at an acute angle to A-hoe blades and from the top to tines. Detachable top of metal box has widened inlet part and is pivotally connected through fingers to side faces. Outlet part of metal box is made narrowing and equipped with soil compacting mechanism, which may be adjusted in vertical plane. Apparatus may be used in potato tools and machines for cultivating potato grown on ridges and light and heavy soils. EFFECT: improved quality of ridge soil compaction and increased efficiency in potato cultivation. 5 dwg
