METHOD OF REVEALING ROAD ACCIDENTS FACTORS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: traffic control. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of road accidents by experts, traffic control officers and other interested persons. Said method comes to plotting scheme of road accident in scale with representing models of vehicles on basic of studying road situation at moment of road accident, weight and technical characteristics of vehicles, traces of road accident. Then models of vehicles are placed in conventional point of collision found from initial data and angle of collision between vectors of speeds v₁,v₂ of vehicle models is determined by character of damage, and angles are found at which centers of masses of vehicles after collision are displaced relative to vectors of their speeds at moment of collision and speeds v₁,v₂ of vehicles before collision are determined by equations of quantity of movement of system.
