FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocketry, particularly, to devices providing separation of cryogenic lines. Proposed-quick disconnect unit has carry-on and ground blocks connected by pneumatic locks, each consisting of catching mechanism in form of collet, locking piston and pneumatic drive. Adjusting bushing is installed between end faces of each collect and locking piston in contact with collet. length of bushing is calculated by formula L=k/N where L is length of adjustable part of bushing; N is designed lock opening force; K is coefficient determined by geometric and strength parameters of collets. Invention provides reliability of separation of quick-disconnect unit owing to forced opening of collect lock at application of tensile stress of definite value.
