FIELD: geophysics. SUBSTANCE: radar is specifically related to devices for geoelectrical prospecting with use of high-frequency electromagnetic waves, for search for mineral resources, for search for engineering lines and other latent inhomogeneities in examined undersurface layer of ground. Technical result of invention consists in increased precision and resolution of radar by reduction of effect of noises from re-reflected signals emerging in connection cables, in possibility of referencing of detected undersurface object to terrain. Given radar detecting inhomogeneities in layer of ground close to surface has transmitter and transmitting antenna connected in series, receiving antenna, wide-band amplifier, signal processor, analog-to-digital converter, retrieval and storage device, stroboscopic unit, electrooptical converter, opticoelectron converter, permanent storage, first bi-directional opticoelectron converter, second bi-directional opticoelectron converter and displacement transducer.
