FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: uniaxial joint has upper support with members for connecting thigh sleeve and lower support with members for connecting artificial shin. Upper support has sleeve with cylindrical opening incorporating split brake drum equipped with brake shoes, which are interconnected through flexible connecting members. Sleeves and drum are embraced with lower support eyelets. Lower support is coupled to brake drum through fingers and kinematic links. First finger joins lower support to drum shoe, second finger joins the same support to links and third finger joins links to drum shoe. Flexible member disposed in brake drum and eccentric finger mounted for rotation in eyelets are adapted for creating and regulating disconnecting force. EFFECT: reliable continuous automatic fixation of artificial knee joint by weight of patient and increased efficiency by regulating disconnection force. 5 dwg
