COAT FOR FLOOR CONSISTING OF SOLID FLOOR PANELS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF SUCH PANELS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering; manufacture of solid floor coats. SUBSTANCE: floor coat includes panels containing main material on wood base; solid panels are provided with connecting parts (4-5) found on edges of two opposite sides (2-3) which are formed integral with said wood-based main material and are engageable with each other in form of lug 9 and groove 10 which is bounded by upper projection 42 terminating in vertical plane and lower projection 43; lug has part extending from its end to said vertical plane; when these panels are connected, lower projection 43 is flexibly bendable; it extends farther away from projection 42. Connecting parts are provided with mechanical locking units 6 made integral with said main material, thus excluding separation of two connected panels in direction perpendicular to respective edge and parallel to lower side of connected panels of floor. Said mechanical locking units include on one side projection 33 found on lower surface of said lug; projection 33 extends at least partially beyond said vertical plane and has contact surface 74 and on other side, locking units have recess in lower projection for receiving the said projection; recess has contact surface 73 which is engageable with said contact surface of said projection in such way that tangent line formed by said contact surfaces deflects relative horizontal planes when they are in contact. Contact surface 73 of lower projection is located at least partially in part of lower projection 43 extending beyond upper projection. Projection 33, recess and flexibly bendable lower projection 43 are located in such way that are panel are interconnected through plane motion.
