FIELD: industrial inorganic synthesis and fertilizer production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for common manufacture of fertilizer from group including ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, and their combinations, and sulfur compound from group including elementary sulfur, sulfur dioxide, sulfuric acid, and sulfate salts. Process comprises following stages: (i) bringing gas containing sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide, the latter in concentration exceeding concentration of sulfur dioxide, into contact with ammonia and aqueous liquid to produce sulfur dioxide-containing product and gas with reduced sulfur dioxide concentration; (ii) intermediate of above sulfur dioxide-containing product with reagent selected from group including nitric acid, phosphoric acid, their mixtures and salts to produce fertilizer and sulfur; and (iii) recovering at least part of sulfur compound from fertilizer. EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency and avoided of environmental sulfur dioxide pollution. 12 cl, 3 ex
