FIELD: production and wasteless use of soap. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing on a bar of soap unit for retaining remaining piece of a bar of soap composed of at least two members with stop surfaces; fixing remaining piece of another bar of soap by locating it between stop surfaces of said members. Bar of soap has washing means provided with unit for retaining remaining piece of another bar of soap. Retaining unit is made in the form of at least two members provided with stop surfaces. Said members may be made segment-shaped, cylindrical, pyramid-shaped, conical, prismatic, or may be made in the form of columns of different section profiles, as well as in the form of slot walls. Stop surfaces of said members are facing one another and remaining piece of a bar of soap is inserted between said surfaces. Smooth stop surfaces may be equipped with tooth-forming stop profiles for preventing remaining piece of soap from action of shear force. Stop surfaces and tooth-forming profiles may be vertical, inclined or combined vertical and inclined.
