METHOD FOR PROTECTING FRUIT TREES AGAINST MOUSE-LIKE RODENTS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, horticulture. SUBSTANCE: method dealing with protection of fruit trees grown in dwarf tree form, predominantly, apple-trees, against mouse-like rodents includes obtaining preparation with toxin-containing components, with zinc phosphide, in particular, followed by its application in trees' area. Preparation is obtained due to addition of zinc phosphide into natural solvent-based dyestuff. Composition should achieve a paste-like consistence by adding natural filler inside, for example, chalk. Preparation should be applied by layer of 1.5-2 mm onto branches from the side of sun radiation impact. The method enables to considerably increase reliability of fruit trees' protection, it has attractants for useful fauna representatives. Moreover, the suggested method enables to provide reliable protection of fruit trees against sun radiation impact. EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection. 1 cl
