ANGULAR DISCRIMINATOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2202806 C1

FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: given angular discriminator is meant to be used in mix of radar systems of various assignment which employ single receiving-transmitting antenna. Angular discriminator includes receiving-transmitting antenna with former of summary and difference signals which form antenna unit, antenna switch and receiver of reference signal connected in series and linked to summary output, antenna switch and receiver of measurement cannel connected in series and coupled to difference output, automatic gain control unit which input is connected to output of receiver of reference channel and which output is connected to adjustment input of receivers of reference and measurement channels, synchronous detector which inputs are connected to outputs of receivers of reference and measurement channels and which output is output of signal of angular error, directional coupler placed between output of transmitter and second input of antenna switch connected to summary output of antenna unit and connected in series phase inverter which input is connected to second output of directional coupler and additional transmitting antenna structurally part of antenna unit but having polarization orthogonal to polarization of main receiving-transmitting antenna that ensures spatial turn of polarization plane of resulting probing signal. In this case cross polarization noise orthogonal to polarization of probing signal will not be such for main receivingtransmitting antenna and consequently will not act on angular discriminator which is achievable technical result of invention. EFFECT: excluded effect of cross polarization noise on angular discriminator. 1 dwg
