STRING DISCONNECTOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for extraction of hydrocarbons. SUBSTANCE: sting disconnector is intended for disconnection and subsequent connection of string of pipes with packer system in production and injection wells. String disconnector has body with internal grooves, sleeve, collet holder, nose piece, shaft. Body is made fast from above to sub and from beneath to rest. Sleeve with internal bore and external locking device is mounted for axial movement in body. Rest has internal surface to accommodate sealing cups and radial channels for cams. Collet holder has windows accommodating tabs of collet. Shaft is positioned in body from beneath, has internal mounting surfaces and external bore corresponding to cams of rest and grooves for tabs of collet. Body has two internal grooves, upper and lower, for external locking device of sleeve that has internal mounting surface, radial holes and external grooves. Sealing rings are installed in grooves for internal surface of body. Bushing fixed in sleeve by means of shear screws and/or locking device is mounted for axial movement inside sleeve, under shaft. Distance from upper butt of bushing to its positive stop in sleeve is equal or more than distance between internal upper and lower grooves of body. When sleeve is fixed in upper position its internal bore is located above cams of rest. In lower position of sleeve its internal bore is located above cams for their radial movement. Nose piece comes in the form of shoe of repeat entry. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency of employment of string disconnector. 3 dwg
