FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in manufacture of vehicles. Proposed steering wheel consists of nub, spokes, rim formed by ring sectors with handling fitted between ring sectors at a distance of 5 cm from sectors. This distance is sufficient for location of fingers of driver's hand relative to center of rotation of steering wheel which is equal to steering wheel radius or is greater than radius to provide sufficient vehicle control force at convenient action of hand within confined space of driver's place. Handles are made of injury-safe elastic material with axis of rotation parallel to axis of rotation of wheel and they project insignificantly beyond the common plane of steering wheel rim. EFFECT: improved convenience of control and steerability of vehicle. 2 dwg
