FIELD: oil-gas producing industry, particularly, methods reducing permeability of water-encroached formations and involving in development of less water-encroached formations. SUBSTANCE: method includes successive injection of alkaline reagent, mineralized water and suspension in form of aqueous suspension of fine sediment of slaking wastes - wastes of soda production. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method due to reduction of formation permeability, technology cost and its labor input.
