SLOT GATE WITH CURVILINEAR DISPLACEMENT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: pipeline valves and fittings. SUBSTANCE: proposed slot gate is designed for closing air ducts and vacuum lines and it can be used as discharge devices. Slot gate has seat with slot through hole and motion drive including bellows. Fixed stopper of bellows is made for connection with pressure building device. Shutoff member is installed on movable stopper of bellows. Bellows have outline in cross section whose longitudinal dimension along larger axis exceeds its cross dimension along smaller axis. With bellows compressed, its plane passing through larger axes of outer contours of all corrugations is parallel to plane passing through larger axes of inner contours of all corrugations. Outer contours of bellows corrugations are connected by cross bridges with formation of holes through which all parts of inner space of bellows communicate. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced materials usage and overall dimensions of gate. 2 cl, 4 dwg
