TRIPOD MOUNT FOR AUTOMATIC ROCKET LAUNCHER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: weapons. SUBSTANCE: proposed tripod mount for automatic rocket launcher has base with two rear legs and one front leg. T-shaped base of tripod mount has cross-member with L-shaped sector of traversing gear. Swivel part is made in form of front and rear cross- members interconnected by means of transversal members; it is connected with base by means of swivel. Swivel part is connected with traversing gear sector through inserts mounted on lower side of swivel part. Rear cross-member of swivel part is made in form of hollow tube where screw with clamping handle is mounted by means of thread for turning in vertical plane parallel to axis of firing. Secured in screw inside cross-member is pusher whose rear end has bevel for engagement with mating bevel of other pusher mounted in longitudinal hole of ear at right angle through transversal hole found in it. Ear is secured in slot of cross- member between inserts. Lower part of ear has transversal hole where hold-down made in form of double-arm lever is mounted on axle. One arm of said lever is engageable with pusher and other arm fitted with self-setting hemisphere is engageable with lower horizontal surface of traversing gear sector.
