FIELD: data transmission by means of electromagnetic waves. SUBSTANCE: device that may be found useful for cellular and satellite radio communication systems, radio control systems, and fiber-optic data transfer systems is provided with newly introduced sync train selector, sync-train phase selector, and search control unit. Introduction of these units enables search division into two stages so that short-train phase is searched during first stage and long- train phase, during second stage. This novelty provides for reducing search time due to division of actual search into two stages for searching phases of short and long trains, lengths of trains being multiples and their phases in transmitted signal being tightly bound to each other. Therefore upon completion of short-train phase search phase ambiguity of long train phase reduces thereby reducing total search time. EFFECT: reduced signal search time. 5 cl, 7 dwg
