FIELD: gas and oil producing industry, particularly, process fluids applicable in completion and major repairs of wells. SUBSTANCE: base of fluid for well killing and completion contains alkali metal formate and additionally reagent- stabilizer. Alkali metal formate is used in form of sodium or potassium formate. Fluid base contains the following amounts of components, wt/%: alkali metal formate 90- 95; reagent-stabilizer 5-10. Reagent-stabilizer is used in form of compounds of class of polysaccharides, for instance, carboxymethyl cellulose, oxyethyl cellulose, carboxymethylated starch, and also compounds from class of acrylic polymers, for instance, uniflock. Fluid base may additionally contain sodium bromide or calcium carbonate.
