TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2207745 C2

FIELD: warning lights, railway transport traffic lights. SUBSTANCE: invention can also find use in city traffic lights intended to control automobile transport in the streets and cross-roads. Traffic light incorporates primary windings 3.1, 3.2,...3N of transformers 4., 4.2,...4.N connected in series and in aiding through which current pulses of certain length are passed. Groups of K light-emitting diodes 6.1, 6.2,...6.K are connected to each secondary winding 5.1, 5.2,...5.N of these transformers. Pulse operation mode with accumulation and subsequent transmission of current from power supply source to light-emitting diodes ensures no power loss in traffic light and automatic leveling of currents through groups of light-emitting diodes. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability of traffic light. 2 dwg
