FIELD: radio communication, construction of phone duplex lines in short-wave frequency range, including lines operating on one frequency. SUBSTANCE: method of duplex radio exchange with phone signals is based on formation of phone signal, modulation of carrier and transmission of signal in forward direction implemented in sequence, on signal reception and demodulation in backward direction implemented in sequence, on reception of phone signal. Upon formation phone signal is divided into equal time intervals with duration T. Each signal is transmitted with delay Td defined as Td>≥(T/2+τp+τз) where τp- is time of propagation of signal in one direction; τз is protective interval; and is time-compressed according to certain law to duration equal to τtr, Ttr being transmission time of signal in each direction and Td+Ttr = T. This compressed signal is utilized for modulation of carrier and for reception of phone signals time-compressed to duration Ttr transmitted in backward direction in time intervals Td with delay equal to τ2, with reference to start of interval of transmission of compressed phone signal in backward direction, for their demodulation and expansion in time by law opposite to that used in compression of phone signal to duration of time interval equal to T and for reception of phone signal. Compression of time intervals with duration T of phone signal transmitted in forward direction is executed simultaneously with reception of compressed phone signal transmitted in backward direction. Synchrosignal which is used to modulate carrier and to transmit in forward direction is formed at start of each N-th transmission interval Ttr to ensure periodic matching in each direction. During reception synchrosignal is demodulated and is used to match positions of adjacent time intervals T of received phone signal. EFFECT: realization of mode of complete duplex phone radio exchange on one operational frequency. 2 dwg
