FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical treatment of drilling fluids during exposing permeable sandstones. Preparation of peat reagent comprises preliminary drying of milled peat to residual moisture content 15-30% followed by alkali reagent treatment, said alkali reagent being an 1:1 water suspension of trisodium phosphate and its weight ratio to peat being (0.56- 0.66):1. Resulting peat-alkali mix is then additionally treated with aluminum- modified sodium carboxymethylcellulose with degree of substitution 49.5-59.0 or with modified starch at weight ratio 1: (0.02-0.08). EFFECT: accelerated clay grouting of borehole walls and reduced loss of drilling fluid during boring operation. 9 ex
