FIELD: manufacture of mining machinery; applicable in designs of mining machinery. SUBSTANCE: continuous miner has conveyor movable in vertical plane and ore gantry. Ore gantry is joined to conveyor with help of ball device having ball support on gantry, socket for ball support and two semicovers connecting ball support with socket. Ball device is provided additionally with shaft installed on gantry for axial rotation and located perpendicular to longitudinal axis of ore gantry. Ball support is rigidly connected with shaft, and socket for ball support is mounted on movable conveyor. EFFECT: extended field of application of continuous miner with gantry, increased maneuverability of continuous miner provided with rock gantry. 4 dwg
