FIELD: plastic metal working, namely securing tube to tube plates of heat exchangers at using effect of localized directed plastic deforming of tube material. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of profiling tube end portions for making their ends; making in opening of tube plate annular grooves and making at side of its back surface annular rib whose back edge is inclined by acute angle relative to axis of opening; placing end of tube in opening of tube plate while arranging it on annular rib; fixing tube against possible motion and applying compression efforts to its inner surface; at securing tube realizing cross plastic displacement of tube material in volume of tube end relative to back edge of annular rib. EFFECT: enhanced strength of joints due to formed annular sealings on back side of tube plate, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method. 5 dwg
