SUBSTANCE: method of preparing complex modifying additives for cement formulations can find use in manufacture of dry building mixes, ready-to-use building mortars, etc., in particular when raising cast-in-place constructions, as well as pigmenting additives, which can be used in varnish-and-paint industry for building materials and manufacture of colored cements, ceramics, and others. Method comprises mixing mineral filler with additional active ingredient at their specified proportions (50-95% and 5- 50%, respectively) followed by active stirring in turbulent flows, which is achieved by two-step treatment in mixer within gaps between rotor and casing. Under such conditions, shock loading velocity rises from 0 to 50 m/s in the first step and from 50 to 100 m/s at the second step over 1-10 sec time interval at 40 C. As mineral filler, calcite, barite, limestone flour, marble flour, dolomite flour, dust-like quartz, various types of cement, gypsum, corundum, and amorphous silica can be used. Additional active ingredient can be represented by at least one ingredient from group comprising redispersed powders of vinyl acetate, acrylate, and butadiene/styrene copolymers and homopolymers, cellulose ethers, water- soluble plasticizing, water-reducing, air-entraining, waterproofing, and pigmenting additives in dry state.
