MOBILE SET FOR ENTRAPPING AND CLEANING OF AIR FROM WELDING AEROSOLS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for cleaning air from products formed at welding, soldering or other harmful substances liberated by point sources. Proposed set includes flexible local sucking device connected with filtering - and - ventilation system by air duct with fixing supports. Local sucking device is made in form of hood-hemisphere combined with holder of electrode provided with inspection ports. Filtering-and-ventilation system includes compressed air ejector installed at system input, settling chamber, cellular cloth filter with reverse impulse blowing-through by compressed air. Proposed mobile set for entrapping and cleaning of air from welding aerosols makes it possible to exclude action of heat and light radiation of welder and other personnel in vicinity, to settle melted and hot particle inside hood-hemisphere and to entrap finely dispersed dust and gases.
