FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing field; providing during 2-3 years protective strips of iris plant with projective cover of 40-60% and spacing width of 50-90 cm; planting rootstock cuttings of mesophytic brake fern in spacings at the rate of one rootstock cutting per 1 sq. m. Plants of iris have rigid belt-shaped leaves protecting brake ferns from wind and incident solar rays. Died-off last year leaves of iris plant serve mulching material. Method allows brake fern to be grown in fields of forest-steppe zones for further usage as medicinal, technical, decorative and food raw material. EFFECT: increased efficiency in growing of forest plants in fields and wider range of use. 3 dwg
