METHOD OF RESCUE OF CREW FROM DAMAGED SUBMARINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2214344 C1

FIELD: lifesaving appliances for rescue of crew of submarine in submerged position by means of submersible rescue vehicle. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes lowering submersible rescue vehicle on submarine at suction of adapter chamber of this vehicle to coaming platform of submarine. Then adapter chamber of submersible rescue vehicle is drained and compartment of submersible rescue vehicle is brought in communication with it, after which mechanical joint of adapter chamber with coaming platform is rigidly locked and refuge compartment of damaged submarine is communicated with adapter chamber of submersible rescue vehicle. Then, submarine compartment is disconnected from adapter chamber and part of gaseous medium is discharged from adapter chamber to change pressure in it to magnitude of sea pressure, thus forming additional suction force for adapter chamber of submersible rescue vehicle to coaming platform. Then, mechanical attachment is removed, compartment of submersible rescue vehicle is disconnected from adapter chamber and adapter chamber is filled with water for building-up pressure in it sufficient for separation from coaming platform and for separation of submersible rescue vehicle from submarine. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and safety of crew. 2 cl, 1 dwg
