FIELD: ceramic industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pigments for porcelain-faience and majolica articles. Method involves treatment of finely crushed natural wollastonite taken in the amount 95-75 wt. -% and 5-25 wt. -% of chromophore as measured for oxide with concentrated hydrochloric acid at intensive stirring to provide the best neutralizing and homogenization. Formed gel is dried and roasted at temperature 1050-1100 C. Method allows reducing temperature of pigment roasting by 100-150 C and to enhance their brightness. Prepared pigments are stable to effect of high temperatures and melted glaze and can be used for preparing underglaze, overglaze dyes and stained glazes. EFFECT: improved preparing method. 2 tbl, 1 ex
