METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR INCREASING THRUST OF JET ENGINES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2215889 C2

FIELD: jet engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method for increasing thrust of jet engines consists in the following: working medium at pressure exceeding pressure of external medium is divided into two opposite flow, minimum, expanding straight flow and converting its energy into cruise thrust. Reverse flow energy is converted into cruise thrust in thrust-augmentation device with changing of its direction in internal from initial to reverse. Working medium itself and/or minimum one of its components is divided into two opposite flows. Augmentation of cruise thrust is provided by minimum one curvilinear profiled bypass working channel with profiled working blades on its inner surface. Profiled working blades enclose reverse flow being orientated across the flow. EFFECT: increased cruise thrust. 5 cl, 3 dwg
