PREPARATION FOR TREATING SEROUS MASTITIS IN COWS AND METHOD FOR ITS APPLICATION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: the suggested innovation deals with medicinal preparations for treating serous mastitis in cows including organic medicinal preparations and solvents. Moreover, as organic medicinal preparations one should apply 1.4-di-N-oxide of 2.3-bis-(oxymethyl)quinoxaline, methyl ether of paraoxybenzoic acid and dimethylsulfoxide, and as polymer-prolongator - propandiol 1.2, moreover, these substances are taken at the following ratio, (%): 1.4-di-N- oxide of 2.3-bis- (oxymethyl)quinoxaline 1.0-1.5, dimethylsulfoxide 5.0-6.5, propandiol 1.2 48.5-50.0, methyl ether of paraoxybenzoic acid 0.5-1.0, distilled water - the rest. The suggested method for treating serous mastitis in cows includes intercysternal introduction of antimastitis preparation and deals with introduction of medicinal preparation into affected portion of cow's udder at the dosage of 5-10 ml once daily for 3 d. Both preparation and method of its application enable to increase economical efficiency of therapy due to decreased labor expenses and financial expenses to purchase medicinal products by 3.5 times, shortened terms of therapy by 1.5 times and increased therapeutic efficiency by 2.7 times.
