Abstract RU 2217740 C2

FIELD: ultrasonic inspection of materials and articles, test of plates. SUBSTANCE: series of signals come in sequence from each acoustic channel to commutator which lets them pass to comparator of front edge and logarithmic amplifier. Comparator of front edge operates when signal from front edge exceeds certain value and activates unit measuring time intervals and gate setting unit. Gates of time intervals ensuring time selection of received signals are either set manually by operator while equipment was tuned to testing of articles of specified thickness or automatically by program entered into computer. Unit of time control over sensitivity is provided in flaw detector to level sensitivity of flaw detector by depth. Given flaw detector makes it possible to record flaws in defect chart on plan of article and to record location of flaws by depth in two mutually perpendicular sections of article as well as to adjust acoustic system automatically in two mutually perpendicular planes.
