FIELD: chemical and ceramic industry. SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with chemical and a ceramic industry and may be used in production of enamels, glasses, ceramics, cements, plastic materials, laminates, printing inks, rubber resins, and also for their surfaces finishing. Superfine siliceous dust produced at condensation of gases, evolved at production of metal silicon and/or its alloys, is mixed with ferric oxide. The share of superfine siliceous dust is 70-98 mass %, ferric oxide 2-30 mass %. The mixture is agglomerated, annealed at 800-1300 C for 1-24 hours. The annealed pigment is agitated, comminuted, finally mixed and control its color. Ready pigment is dose and packed. After agglomeration it is possible to conduct follow-up spraying and prebaking with the following cooling. Pigments have a red - orange tint. The porcelain items containing 5 % of pigments under the invention, have the following coordinates of chromaticity Hunter-LAB : L = 36-46; a = 10-18; b = 7-11.
