FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is used in nuts with automatic rigid fixing. Proposed nut 4 is designed for turning on shaft 1 provided with zone with projecting splined profile 3 or zone 24 with depressing splined profile 25 and it has stop segments 15 with at least one tooth 19 to preclude turning of nut 4 on shaft 1. each stop segment 15 is secured in corresponding slot 10 of nut 4 on its axle rotation 20 rigidly coupled with nut 4 and it can be displaced from first lock position into second lock released position. Firstly, different stop segments 15 are constantly exposed to action of single round ring or closed toroidal spring 21 contributing to forced engagement of teeth with corresponding splines of splined profile 3 or 25 and secondly, nut 4 can be tightened by standard ring spanner.
