SET TO TEST MATERIALS FOR LONG-DURATION STRENGTH Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: testing equipment meant to establish mechanical properties of materials under long-duration loads. SUBSTANCE: set to test materials for long-duration strength has frame, three immobile ( upper, central, lower ) cross-pieces, passive and active grippers of specimen, loading lever motion coupled to passive gripper and upper cross-piece, two additional grippers with dynamometer uniaxially tied up to active gripper of specimen via screw with nut leaning against central cross-piece on side of additional grippers, lead screw coupled with one end to additional gripper and with other end to lower cross-piece by nut on side of mechanism maintaining constant load. Mechanism maintaining constant load is separable and includes exciter of force ( hydraulic jack, in particular ), casing with upper and lower collar beams, U-shaped support with props and cross- member, additional nut joining upper collar beam to lead screw. U-shaped support is passed through casing and props of U- shaped support are linked with the aid of locks to lower cross-piece of set. Exciter of force leans with one end against lower collar beam and with other end against cross-member of U-shaped support. EFFECT: simplified design of set intended for long-duration testing without employment of elements of automatics with preservation of accuracy of test. 1 cl, 1 dwg
