ELECTRICAL MACHINE COMMUTATOR UNDERCUTTING LATHE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering; electrical machine manufacture and repairs. SUBSTANCE: dual-action hydraulic cylinder turns commutator by means of grip mounted on its rod, angle of turn being controlled in the process by means of thrust bolt. Grip has guides disposed in T-shaped shank of second hydraulic cylinder. T-shaped shank functions to lock grip in slot between commutator bars while commutator is being turned and also to extract grip from slot after commutator is turned. Upper shank of hydraulic cylinder is passed through cover and mounts bracket with two detents controlling turn-on of upper and lower microswitches. Detent is spring- loaded relative to case driven through threaded joint into bracket; spring pressure is adjusted by means of screw. Case is locked by means of locknut to prevent its spontaneous turn. Third hydraulic cylinder functions to hold commutator in position after its turning. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of synchronized operation of commutator step-by-step turning and locking mechanism. 3 cl, 2 dwg
